Are you an adult who's eager to begin or return to college after some time away, but you don't know where to start? Even if you haven't taken a straight path from high school to college, with the right support, you can achieve your higher education goals.  My work with adults aims to foster confidence and excitement about the college experience while also providing expert guidance through what can often feel like a confusing and overwhelming process.

Adult learners bring the benefits of life experience and maturity to their educational pursuits, and while the college experience will look different than that of a teenager, it's no less exciting and fulfilling. Many people find that they get more from their education as adults than they would have straight out of high school: They're more focused, make better choices, and have more self-awareness about their needs, goals and potential challenges.

My services for adults are highly tailored to address each clients's unique background while supporting them in achieving their academic and personal goals. Our work together may include some of all of the following:

~ Designing a plan to prepare for college, which may include community college or other coursework

~ Recommendations for colleges that are "best fits" for client's unique goals, needs, and personality

~ Assessment of "likely acceptance," "target," and "reach" colleges (compiled using a variety of metrics)

~ Comprehensive work plan designed to keep the college process organized and on track

Crafting Applications

~ Creative, supportive admissions essay guidance to help clients find their voices and tell their best stories

~ Support in completing complex applications, leveraging the impact of work experience and non-academic pursuits
